The Experience
before your shoot
As soon as you contact me, we will set up a time for a face-to-face consultation to go over what to wear, what to bring, and what to expect at your portrait photography session, or boudoir photography session. This consultation is a fun way of getting to know each other, and will help me customize your photo shoot. We’ll talk about your dynamic style, what your vision for the session is, and what your passions are. All of these elements help me define a personalized experience, to deliver images that are uniquely you. Every one of my clients know how to get ready for their session with minimal stress and are prepared for maximum fun!
It’s at this point that we will book the time and date for your portrait or boudoir photo session, and a deposit will need to be made to hold your spot. That isn’t the end of our communication though, I am available whenever you need styling tips, to answer questions, and to be your personal cheerleader throughout this wonderful journey!
the day of your session
When you arrive for your professional photography shoot, I’ll offer you a choice of beverages, and offer to play your favorite music genre. We’ll hang the items you’ve brought, and chat about your pieces, while our wonderfully soothing and professional make-up artist puts you at ease. As I attend to your wardrobe, I will check the Modern Moxie Style Closet for pieces that will compliment your outfits – statement jewelry, scarves, floral hairpieces, and more. Enjoy yourself, this day, and the whole opulent experience. This is all about YOU, so relax, it’s going to be a blast!
during the shoot
I will have certain poses in mind for you, inspiration and creative direction will come from your unique beauty, wardrobe and body type. Don’t worry about posing, it’s my job to direct you. If you feel awkward for a minute, don’t fret! You will feel awesome when I show you the back of the camera, and exclaim “You nailed it!” I promise you’re going to be exhilarated and empowered after just a little bit of shooting.
Directly after the shoot, or that evening, you are going to want to have some plans arranged because you are going to be looking incredible and feeling fabulous! I can’t be held responsible for all the attention you’re going to get!
after the shoot
About 2 weeks after your shoot, you will come back for a private reveal session of your finest, hand-retouched images. You’ll select your favorites, and decide on how you want your images produced. Would you would like to discreetly tuck them away in a gorgeous heirloom album, or would you like to display your art on canvas, in a professionally framed portrait, or any of our other fabulous products? We will go over available products and you will be able to select finishes, fabrics and other details to customize your selections.
For each item you purchase, you will receive the corresponding digital file, full size for printing again, as you wish, and also sized for social media sharing (which I hope you do!). So, for instance, if you purchase an album with 20 images, you will receive those same 20 images in digital form.
It’s at this private reveal party that you’ll sign an order form and pay for your order. Payment plans are available, so go nuts!
Depending on your product choices, turn-around time could be three to eight weeks.
When your gorgeous purchases arrive at my house, I will contact you and start the fun process of packaging your goodies with our unique, boutique presentation. I absolutely love handing over your items to you, and watching as you flip through the images and are astonished with your own beauty!
